MeshStream

MeshStream is a telecom operator that delivers IP based wireless access to both business and residential users. The data rate is in the order of 1 to 10 Mbps for small and medium enterprises and residential users to 155 Mbps fixed wireless links for large enterprises.

MeshStream can make use of both unlicensed spectrum in the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz as well as from licensed spectrum in the 1.8 and 3.5 GHz band. The technology is based on radio channels of 625 kHz with time division duplex. There is 5 MHz needed for full deployment of a network.

An end-user node can act as a router for another end-user node. This makes it possible to reach customers who are out of sight of the base station. This is called non line of sight (NLOS).
