MP4

MP4 is the file format that is used to contain the media information of a MPEG-4 presentation. The file format is based on the QuickTime file format from Apple Computer Inc. The file format is like a container that can hold a variety of media types, such as video, audio, text, images and animations. Each container is comprised of a header which describes the content of the container and a number of tracks. Each track holds a different kind of media.
