TD-CDMA |
Time Division- Code Division Multiple Access is part of the UMTS standard for the 3rd generation of mobile communications (3G). TD-CDMA is also referred to as UMTS UTRA TDD High Chip Rate. TD-CDMA uses unpaired spectrum. The uplink and the downlink are both accomodated on the same frequency. This makes a flexible allocation of resources to the uplink and downlink possible to accomodate asymmetric services.
TD-CDMA is best suited to accomodate users with a demand for high data rates and low mobility (stationary/pedestrian) in hot spot areas.
