Telecom ABC - A
ACELP is a speech codec algorithm used for coding with a bit rate between 2,4 and 8 kbit/s. ACELP is an improved technique used for CELP speech coders. This technique results in more efficient codebook search algorithms. ACELP is used in audio codecs, such as G.723.1, the speech codec of UMTS (AMR) and the Enhanced Full Rate codec of GSM.
