CVCD - Compressed Video CD

A Compressed Video CD (CVCD) is a Video CD (VCD) with MPEG-1 video coding with variable bit rate. A standard video CD has a fixed bit rate. This variable bit rate gives some additional compression. This will allow to encode an entire movie in just a single CD, with reasonably good quality.

A CVCD is only playable in a DVD -player that accepts non-standard Video CDs.
