Digital

Digital is a form of data representation whereby the information is represented by series of binary digits 0 and 1. The information can be either data or a transformed analogue signal, such as speech.

The binary digits can be transmitted by converting them into a serie of electronic pulses in a wired network, by optical light in an optic fiber network or superimposed on a radiowave for wireless transmission.
