DMO - Direct Mode Operation

Direct Mode Operation (DMO) is a term used to describe the ability of radio terminals to communicate directly with each other (like 'Walkie-Talkies') independent of the network. DMO is used by many traditional Private Mobile Radio networks to allow communications out of reach of the network.
