FDE - Frequency Domain Equilization

Frequency Domain Equilization (FDE) is a filtering technique whereby the input signal is transofrmed to the frequency domain before the signal is equalized.

The frequency domain transformation is usually done by a Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT).

FDE is used in receivers to equalize the received signal for the distortions of the transmission channel.
