Femto cell

A femto cell is a small cellular base stations designed for use in residential or corporate environments. The subscriber can use its own mobile handset (e.g GSM or UMTS) to connect tot he mobile network. The femto cell routes the traffic to the mobile core network through a fixed broadband connection of the subscriber, e.g. an ADSL conection.
