Telecom ABC - G
A guardband is a narrow frequency band between adjacent frequency channels. Guardbands are usually employed in FDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access) systems to avoid interference from the adjacent channels. A guard band may also be necessary between different systems, such as GSM and DECT, to avoid interference from one system into the other system.
