MGWS - Multiple Gigabit Wireless Systems

Multiple Gigabit Wireless Systems (MGWS) is an initiative from the European Telecommunications Institute (ETSI) for the specification of a system for wireless local area networks (WLAN) and wireless personal area networks (WPAN) with a very high data rate, in the order of gigabits per second. MGWS is expected to encompass applications for wireless digital video, audio and control applications as well as multiple gigabit wireless local area networks. MGWS is targeted to operate in the 60 GHz band on a unlicensed basis.
