IEEE 802.20

IEEE 802.20 is a standard for mobile broadband wireless access. IEEE 802.20 should operate in licensed bands below 3.5 GHz. The standard is optimized for IP-data transport, with peak data rates per user in excess of 1 Mbps. It supports various vehicular mobility classes up to 250 Km/h in a urban environment.

IEEE 802.20 is also known under the name Mobile Broadband Wireless Access (MBWA).
