Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) is a communications technique whereby the total capacity of a transmission channel is shared among multiple users by alllocating each a unique time slot.

TDMA is also the popular name for the U.S. D-AMPS mobile communications system, based on the IS-136 standard.
