WiGig Wireless Gigabit

Wireless Gigabit (WiGig) is a standard for high speed connections among consumer electronics, handheld devices and PCs. It makes use of the unlicensed 60 GHz spectrum.

The WiGig specifications have been moved into the IEEE 802.11 and are further developed under the name of standard IEEE 802.11ad.
