WISP

A Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) is a service provider that offers wireless access to the internet. Most WISPs provide their services at hotspots or hotzones. Usually, these wireless networks are based on Wi-Fi.

There are also WISPs that offer wireless internet access to small and medium bussinesses or users at home. In this case the WISP uses FWA technology, such as WiMAX.
